I want to do this:
when a user opens a webpage, show him the page, and then after 10
seconds show an image as part of the page.

There are a lot of images in absolute divs and tables on these pages, plus a
23kb tiled background. When I set the background to fixed the page's entire
contents scroll very jagged/shakey in IE and when you use the scroll wheel
Firefox takes close to a second to catch up.
