Help determining what to charge for text ads30 Sep 2005 20:51 GMT16
I was recently contacted by someone who wants to place some text ads on my
site. They are asking how much it would be.
The problem is that I have no idea how to charge. This isn't a CPC or CPM
campaign, and I've never priced an ad which is essentially just a link.
Google Adsense - Account Termination30 Sep 2005 19:14 GMT4
Late last night I discovered my Adsense A/C had been disabled.
An email arrived suggesting I had been generating illegal clicks, suggesting
I was using a clicker programme, encouraging people to click on my ads,
clicking on my own ads etc etc.

Is there any way to alias a top level domain?
My boss has set me the challenge of being able to type
www.google.local(for example) into a web browser and be taken to
www.google.com.  He wants this to be done on-the-fly as it were so all
Site critique please30 Sep 2005 15:28 GMT74
I have redesigned the webpages for this site:
http://www.dotnet-hosting.com. I would like to receive some feedback on the
general look and user experience. Also web host features that are missing.
Thanks.
IE question - disabling referer30 Sep 2005 13:43 GMT7
I know its possible, at least in other browsers to disable the feature that
lets websites see where you came from ...
The reason I need to do this is that I often go from a website I can't let
any one know about, to the websites who would be particularly interested in
Formatting printer versions30 Sep 2005 12:45 GMT9
I have a form that uses a screen CSS stylesheet and also a print
stylesheet. On my bog-standard IE and FF installations, the print
stylesheet works properly and the page prints on one page as desired.
However, my client has sent me a couple of examples where the form goes
Global shortcut icons30 Sep 2005 12:44 GMT3
Is there a way to include a shortcut icon into a website globally, so that I
don't have to define it on every page, perhaps by putting it a style file?
I mean the sort of thing you get by putting the following in the
<head></head> section:

I own www.sushi.co.uk and am looking for some help in setting my site up.
I want to set up a sushi restaurant database on the site. You know the type

restaurants to you. Users should also be able to enter their own ...

Do you like this new logo/root menu design?30 Sep 2005 09:43 GMT12
Hi everyone, long time no see. I want to first thank everyone for your
past suggestions for my algebra.com. It now has a specialized (for
math) content management system, user submitted lessons, quizzes, and
problem solving by free tutors.
Are we there yet mommy?30 Sep 2005 09:40 GMT5
A rugged, cheap, connected PC - inspired by the desire to connect children
in 'developing' nations - could be just the jobbie - one in the kitchen,
one in the workshop, one for the car.  At just over 50 Sovs each you
wouldn't really notice if one got broke/lost etc.
JavaScript Required30 Sep 2005 09:27 GMT83
I am beginning design on a new site that pretty much demands
JavaScript/AJAX. With that kind of technology I think I can give a
high quality useful experience, without it the system would drag and
take time and/or lots of bandwidth. I know I could do both versions,
OT? A marketing question30 Sep 2005 00:36 GMT81
Hey guys,  I'm looking for opinions again :-)
I just created a "link network" on my site, and I was hoping for some
feedback.  Here it is: http://www.eyardsale.com/help/links.asp
I'm really NOT a marketing expert and could use some guidance.  Please let
Cloaked websites30 Sep 2005 00:07 GMT44
I'm setting up a simple web site for someone who is trying to flog
something with quite a few photos of what is being flogged etc.
I've registered a .com domain, basically to give a simple
web site name that can be spelt out over the phone easily
Google indexing29 Sep 2005 21:51 GMT7
I know this has been done to death but I'm still scratching my head in this
particular case.
I have a couple of sites - one on a CMS, one static.  Both are getting hit
by the Googlebot every few days but neither are being picked up at all.
