| Help determining what to charge for text ads | 30 Sep 2005 20:51 GMT | 16 |
I was recently contacted by someone who wants to place some text ads on my site. They are asking how much it would be. The problem is that I have no idea how to charge. This isn't a CPC or CPM campaign, and I've never priced an ad which is essentially just a link.

| IE question - disabling referer | 30 Sep 2005 13:43 GMT | 7 |
I know its possible, at least in other browsers to disable the feature that lets websites see where you came from ... The reason I need to do this is that I often go from a website I can't let any one know about, to the websites who would be particularly interested in

| Global shortcut icons | 30 Sep 2005 12:44 GMT | 3 |
Is there a way to include a shortcut icon into a website globally, so that I don't have to define it on every page, perhaps by putting it a style file? I mean the sort of thing you get by putting the following in the <head></head> section:

A rugged, cheap, connected PC - inspired by the desire to connect children in 'developing' nations - could be just the jobbie - one in the kitchen, one in the workshop, one for the car. At just over 50 Sovs each you wouldn't really notice if one got broke/lost etc.

| JavaScript Required | 30 Sep 2005 09:27 GMT | 83 |
I am beginning design on a new site that pretty much demands JavaScript/AJAX. With that kind of technology I think I can give a high quality useful experience, without it the system would drag and take time and/or lots of bandwidth. I know I could do both versions,

I know this has been done to death but I'm still scratching my head in this particular case. I have a couple of sites - one on a CMS, one static. Both are getting hit by the Googlebot every few days but neither are being picked up at all.
