I'm trying to get a handle on things right now. Where do these two SEs stand right now? I can see that they're businesses of Overture but what exactly does that mean? I ask since I do very well on both SE's, All THE WEB and Altavista, heck, that

| What's the point of Google's cache? | 29 Feb 2004 09:25 GMT | 12 |
As I understand it Google regularly "crawls" the entire web and puts one copy of every page it visits in its "cache". ...What exactly is the point of this? What's to gain from having a cache -- isn't it just an enormous waste of ...memory (I guess)?
