I am wondering if Google penalizes for spelling errors?
I had a pretty decent ranking but then I suddenly dropped off the radar
screen. Then I noticed that I used a non-standard word not found in common
dictionaries (in the index page), i.e. "irregardless" instead of

It appears that it is getting quite easy to spam Google, at least in
regional categories.

Using overtures search suggestion tool I see that
"register at search engine" results in 111.779 searches/month.
I rank top 10 in Google for "register at search engine" and expected at
least 3000/hits a month for this keyword !

Bllx to Google. They've really gone and messed things up with this update.
I'm removing their banner ads from the next build of my site. I wrote to
