It is my understanding that internet shortcuts copied to the folder: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Favorites" will appear as Favorites in everyone's Internet Explorer. But when the user goes into IE, the favorites are not there.

When I open a webpage with IE 6.0 i get a "boop" sound. I can't find where to turn this off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have just installed IE 7 and I am very impressed. I can see mild reductions in functionality from the view of not having the Favourites displayed, and it seems slightly less easy to search within the page eg to find text.

Many websites have nice icons when you save a bookmark or a shortcut - but on my computer they all change to the generic IE icon after a restart. I know there should be a way to retain the original icons, but I don't know how.

I assume this has been reported. After installing IE7 beta 2 preview, latest build (finally, with considerable difficulty having to do, as others have mentioned, with the permissions on varied registry keys)- I had to uninstall because it caused Zone Alarm with anti-virus to quit ...

Hi' all, I've just installed a new computer for a friend, she has win.XP Home sp2, I.E. O.E.. I was going to show her how to subscribe to newsgroups but in O.E., under tools, the newsgroup option is not there. Does anyone know why

I don't like where the Home Page icon for IE7 is (on the right side). I want the Home page icon next to my back and forward arrows... I have tried to move it, but it won't move... Is there a way to move it?
