alpha and gradient filter problems24 Jun 2005 19:20 GMT1
On our website we are using a number of IE filters to display some PNG's with
transparency, to do some gradients or other simple effects like that.
progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader and
progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient are the main filters we have used.
can't undo tile23 Jun 2005 16:46 GMT1
I tiled horizontally the Word program & Internet window.  I never chose to
Undo Tile, and just turned off everything.  It seems I'm now sentenced to
life to a tiled window.   The explorer window opens normally but on some
links that open in a new window, they come up in the ...

I don't want Internet Explorer 6.0 to automatically load when I log on.
Could someone please tell me where to make the settings changes that will
stop Internet Explorer 6.0 from loading when I log on!?  Please post to the
group or email.  Thanks.
difference between entering www and http://www16 Jun 2005 12:56 GMT1
I'm having a problem with IE 6 where if I enter a web address as
www.anysite.com the site will not load but if I enter http://www.anysite.com
it loads immediately.  Is there a setting that controls whether or not you
need the http:// preceeding the address?
"Always allowed" sites' cookies continue to be blocked14 Jun 2005 12:49 GMT1
I have added several sites related to games, stock quotes, etc., to the
"always allowed" lists. Their domains (www.eqrankings.com for example) are
noted with a checkmark by "Always Accept Cookies From This Site" when I
examine the context menu in the Privace Report. This is ...
Consistency problems re: checkboxes, tabbing, and focus()10 Jun 2005 03:18 GMT7
Here's the problem; I have an application that uses .focus() to point out
form field validation errors.  With regards to the checkboxes on the page, if
the checkbox has never been tabbed to, then no cursor is shown.  If the
checkbox was tabbed to first, then a dashed-box cursor ...

Webmaster vs. Viewer05 Jun 2005 18:33 GMT1
Is there a way I can override the webmaster's choice for link visited color?
Some sites choose the same color for visited as for unvisited. I would like
all visited links to display a different color regardless of the webmasters
code. Can I do this somehow?
strange problem iexplore.exe parsing file with generic unknown extension05 Jun 2005 06:57 GMT2
I have a really strange issue here.  As a fairly seasoned computer
geek, this throws me into so many loops I'm getting sick.  I hope to
god someone has seen this.
My company uses a java based application for a big part of it's
Enlarged fonts04 Jun 2005 00:57 GMT2
My IE6 decided that I was blind, and enlarged the view of pages while
surfing the web. I've had to increase the resolution in order to give a
semi-proper formating for the pages, but there are still problems. Can
anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
really simple positioning question - XPosted02 Jun 2005 18:05 GMT1
I am a server-sider... I am trying to make a page which shows and hides
elements on the page when a hyperlink is clicked. What I cannot find is how
to have the stuff that is shown be next to each other when the hidden stuff
is hidden. Take this page (code at bottom). When About ...
How do I prevent Internet explorer from opening any links?01 Jun 2005 22:49 GMT1
I have 3 better web browsers that I use and IE6 is a load of crap. How can I
change so that clicking on  a link will open a web page in one of my other
browsers (Avant, Ace & Firefox)
Cheers
Ctrl-click launches new explorer instance, like it or not01 Jun 2005 21:18 GMT1
Somehow I've managed to invoke a mode where Ctrl-click launches a new
window containing (a) the target of the link clicked on, or (b) just a
clone of the current window if the click target wasn't a link.
I've checked all the accessiblity stuff like sticky keys etc. and I
