8.0.1 Patch for Linux has no installer?30 Sep 2008 17:32 GMT2
So I've downloaded the 8.0.1 update for Linux and Windows.  The windows version

I've been running CF on both Windows and Linux for six years and the Linux
updaters were always executable .bin files.  ...
How do I apply 8.0.1 Patch?30 Sep 2008 17:31 GMT3
Anyone know how to apply the 8.0.1 patch for Linux?  There are no
instructions and it is not an installer like the windows patch.  This is
very frustrating and after running Coldfusion since verion 4.5 on Linux,
for the first time I don't know how to apply a patch?
Hotfixes and other updates29 Sep 2008 14:37 GMT4
I administer several Cold Fusion servers, most are at 8.0.1. A developer
pointed me to a fix for a problem she was experiencing. That page is at
http://www.adobe.com/go/kb403411 The title is "Patch for CFImage and Image
functions in ColdFusion 8.0.1". The text repeatedly refers ...

SQL Injection Produces "Wrong Name" Errors25 Sep 2008 11:04 GMT1
By now, you're familiar with the SQL Injection attacks floatin' around out
there, but what has me puzzled is how my ColdFusion servers are responding to
them.  For each SQL Injection attempt, CF throws an application error; this is
from my APPLICATION.LOG:

For the past couple years our Cold Fusion 8  sites (working with Databases) on

or URLs greatly appreciated.

Here's where I stand right now:
If I visit the URL I'm about to give you using ANY browser on my Mac, I can
see it just fine (and can test this by updating the files and reloading it on
the Mac just in case it was cached).
CFMail won't send email with FQDN20 Sep 2008 00:38 GMT4
The CFMAIL won't include the fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
I found Knowledge Base article kb400753 at http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400753
and added
-Dmail.host=server-name.domain-name.com to the JVM Arguments section, as

The metrics service is disabled for the J2EE edition19 Sep 2008 15:09 GMT1
Our agency just spend a boatload of money upgrading to CF8 Enterprise (on
