I installed the DEV version of CF8 on my laptop and now forms are no longer
working. When submit a form and do a cfdump of the form structure it comes up
empty.
I tried uninstalling CF 8 and going back to CF7 but am getting the same thing.

Anyone have a way to set a server wide variable (likely in the server scope)
that gets set on server startup rather than in a specific page request via a
cfset.
What I would like to be able to do is set a variable external to any

We purchased CF 8 standard and thought we met the sever requirements for
ColdFusion 8 via RedHat AS & ES 3 or 4.  Only when we went to install if did we
notice that the Web Server support for ColdFusion 8 on Unix/Linux is listed as
Apache 2.0.43 or Apache 2.2.  We run cPanel ...

I'm getting ready to order some new server hardware from Dell, and thought I'd
ask about CF8 compatibility issues with 64bit hardware.  I know CF7 had some
issues on W2k3 on 64-bit machines, but I can't find out on Adobe's pages if CF8
is now 64-bit compatible out of the box, or ...

machines with multiple multi-core processors.  Can anyone tell me what Adobe's
Coldfusion licensing model is for this situation?

I upgraded our CF7-Standard to CF8-Standard (Linux RHE).
After that CFSTAT (/opt/coldfusion8/bin/cfstat) stop working.
It gives me the follow message:

I'm trying to set-up a coldfusion cluster and load balancer for 2 servers.
Basically, each server is almost a mirror image of the other, each running one
