Trying to find a way of searching the web so that I can:
1) Save various searches to regularly re-use them
2) Search specific sites, but all at once not one at a time. E.g.
using site:www.???? but listing several sites to cover.
3) Specify recently updated/added pages, e.g. day old, week etc
Im sure these features are available in various seasrch engines but is
there one that offers the lot?

It's such a weird combination that I'm almost certain that someone - quite
likely you in another ID - will suggest CamelSearch* very shortly.

No there is an option which states

"Unlisted - Do not include my custom search engine in the directory
(but people who know the URL of my search engine can still view it)."

I just created this one
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=015126129557289397972:t-iqyqcdtai

It doesn't look like you need to worry about people guessing the URL

Thanks I missed that bit, this should do the trick. Far from being a
plug I should point out that Copernic comes close to my needs but with
two caveats:
1) It seems impossible to do a simple search within one chosen website
2) I have put my questions in this post to them TWICE as a prospective
customer and am deafened by the silence. Maybe I should say I'm
ordering a thousand licenses?!
