When I open up a web page, I get a number of rectangular boxes with a small
square with an x in it.  It appears that the box contains somekind of
picture.  How do you open it ?
Thanks all.

One thing to check..go to control panel ..internet options..advanced tab and
scroll down and make sure show pictures is checked.

The most overlooked advantage to owning a computer is that if they foul up
there's no law against wacking them around a little.

I'm having the same problem, and can't find any way to fix it! 'Show Pictures'
is checked, and I tried several of the troubleshooting procedures from the
microsoft support website.

Anyone have any clue?

The file linked for download there will not run. It's trying to open winamp, which I don't have. What the heck
does winamp have to do with IE?
