Address bar search

I had Google as my default search engine when typing keywords in the address
bar. I just went through a debacle with spyware called Isearch, which
installed itself on my browswer toolbar. I managed to get rid of it via some
regedit work, but now I've got no default search engine for IE6. What's
going on here?
