Settings lost at restart

Each time i restart windows I lost all the settings of my internet
explorer, like show big fonts, keep status bar etc.and I have to set
them again and again?

How is this possibile? How can I resolve.

I have 2 pc with the same issue, 1 with xp pro, 1 with xp home,
running both IE 6.x The problem occurred also with IE 5.x

HEEELP I'm getting crazy!!!!
