How do I stop this from happening?

You know when you type something into a search engine?  And all your other
search words appear in a box under the search field?  How do I get rid of
that?  Just don't want a long line of things I've searched for before
appearing

thanks

If it's Google search engine then click the little arrow on where it says
Google and you'll see 'clear search history' in the drop down box, if it's
another search engine then I don't know, but it should be more or less the
same. hth.
