Cookies set to except all
Re-installed IE
Defaulted Secure Options in IE
no firewall
doesn't appear to be a virus

Can't get onto secure sites
Get active x errors on housecall.trendmicro.com & Windows Update
tried what I could find in Knoweldge base
before I head to the restore disk, i thought i'd ask mvp's

Just a thought. But the simplest thigs and all that !!!
Try
Internet options,
Security
Trusted sites, and check that settings have not changed to block everything.
