Hi!

Does anyone know of a way to save an img (for instance a jpg image),
given a url where the image can be found, via the command line?

So, if I have a url like:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/JPEG_example_JPG_RIP_100.jpg

I want to be able to save it to disk under a custom name (like
img000.jpg) via the command prompt, so I'm able to execute this as a
command from a batch file without involving any manual operations.

Kind regards and thanks in advance for any help with this, Niek

A download manager such as "Orbit" free from:-

http://www.orbitdownloader.com/index.htm

will let you add a URL such as the one you quote and then download it.
