Help needed please.   In Outlook Express, why do deleted messages
keep returning to the Inbox even when I have emptied the deleted folder?
Thank you........Crockett

maybe some dbx files have got corrupted? I had a friend who had
problem with messages remaining in her Outbox even after they had been
mailed out. They would not move to her Sent folder. We solved problem
by going to Search (via Start Menu) and typing in 'Outbox.dbx' and
deleting this file. OE just makes a new file called Outbox.dbx when
you next open it. That sorted her problem. In your case try deleting
both Inbox.dbx and Deleted Items.dbx and see if problem solved.
In Windows XP all the .dbx files are held in the following file path:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{your own very long identity number
here}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

If you have Norton or McAfee AV disable it and try again. If that solves
your problem install the free Avast or AVG programs.
