When I have a page - any webpage, doesn't matter - and I want to log off /
close IE7, I click the "X" in top right corner (or even if I choose "File -
Exit" it happens too)...the IE& won't close...I get a message that says :

"Internet Explorer has encountered a aproblem and needs to close. We are
sorry..."
"Please tell Microsoft about this problem"

Then in the website address box it just says " about: blank "
and there is a "blank page" still open

...and then it won't close until I click the "Don't Send" box......then it
closes......

Help please ??     Thanks

I had the same problem today after I loaded the software that came with the
BT wireless hub which I installed today. I tried uninstalling and then
reinstalling IE7 but that didn't work. The only way that I got rid of this
problem was to go to tools/internet options then press the advance tab and
then press the 'reset..' button but this deletes all your add ons. However,
this has given me another problem. It won't save my preferred home page
address on the general tab in internet options and keeps go to the MSN home
page. Also, I don't know what other affects disabling these add on's will
have. At the moment it seems okay but at least it has stopped the problem
you have discribed below.

Regards

Paul
