A client requested that I find a way to move the "Refresh" and the "Stop"
buttons on IE7 from their present locations to another location, at the left
of the address bar. I found that if I right clicked them when IE7 was not
maximized, there was a "Move" command that I could click on. I clicked, and
a "cross" with arrows at each end of the 4 extensions appeared. Using this,
I attempted to move the buttons, but was not able to do so. I assume that
the "Move" feature is not yet enabled, or that I am doing something wrong.
If the feature is not yet enabled, I hope that Microsoft will enable it soon
However, if I am doing something wrong, I hope someone can write back to
tell me how to move these buttons. To be able to do so would certainly make
IE7 a more desirable browser.
Thanks,

Currently, you cannot move the buttons. The Move command that you are
talking about is part of the context menu of *every* window. The
commands on the context (right-click) menu are: Restore, Move, Size,
Minimize, Maximize, and Close. This menu is invoked by right-clicking
anywhere on a title bar, or left-clicking the icon that usually sits at
the far left of a title bar. Apparently, Microsoft has linked those
buttons (along with the Forward and Back buttons) to the title bar.
To use the move command, when you get the "cross", use your arrow keys
to move that window around your desktop, hit enter to finish. This
comes in handy if you've moved a window off your screen far enough that
you can't grab the title bar with your mouse to bring it back. In that
case, you would right-click the window's label on your taskbar and
select Move from there. Notice that the commands available depend on
the state of the window.
