I attempted to install IE4 on a WinXP system with IE6. This didn't
work. In addition, some IE6 features don't work; and XP's File Find
functions don't either.

I have tried MS's suggested solutions, except for the reinstalling
Windows. Has anyone here successfully repaired IE6?

In any case, is it possible to get any combination of IE4, IE5, IE5.5
and IE6 to peacefully coexist? How is this done?

Yes you can but you have to put each one on a separate drive as for IE6
on the repair goto windows system than downloaded microsoft files and
reinstall IE6
