Hello - I am unable to change the homepage on IE6.

I use Tools / Internet Options / Home page: "Use Current" which I set to
www.google.com.  I then click Apply and Close.

When I click the Home page icon the browser tries to load the original home
page which is http://www.dellnet.com.  And upon further investigation, I
find that the Home page designation is not what I changed it to, but
www.dellnet.com.

This is a Dell computer, but I should still be able to change the homepage
using the path I described above.

Is there another way to override the path I described?

Thanks!

"Use Current" sets the home page to whatever page your browser is
displaying at that time, hence current.  It seems you may be setting it
to use google, then pressing the "use Current" button, which basically
cancels anything you've typed in and sets it for the current page.  Just
type in www.google.com and then click OK.  You're done.

If you are right now, this second, looking at www.google.com in your
browser window (you have that page loaded), then you would click the
"Use Current" button, then click OK.  You're done.

If this still does not work, you may have a security program locking
your home page, which would require changing the setting in that
program, or possibly editing your registry.
