Eversince I downloaded IE7 I get redirected to other web sites when I do a
yahoo or google search. I have to return 2 or 3 times before it directs me
to where I originally wanted to go. I got a pop up window that states that
my IP address on windows host file has been redirected?  Any suggestions?
How do I get IE6 back?

OK so I gave up on IE7 and went back to IE6 but now it will sometimes close
the page I'm working in when I either hit the back button or any of the
hyperlinks. Doesn't do it all the time but enough to be a major pain in the
a.s! Any suggestions?

Some of the people I've talked to have found that Add/Remove programs
doesn't do the trick, they actually had to go to WIndows recovery and roll
back the changes.

I don't have a suggestion for you to try to fix your problem but I would
like to know what you did to go from IE7 back to IE6. What was the
procedure you followed to do that. Computers here were upgraded to IE7
but my wife wants to go back to IE6. She doesn't like IE7.

TIA .......

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on
Windows XP

1.. Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
2.. Click "Add or Remove Programs."
3.. Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.
4.. Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet
Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove." (If you
are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview - March 20 or later, it
is not necessary to check "Show Updates.")
It's that easy.

Super .... thanks.

I'll give it a shot again. When I tried to remove it (before I posted
for help) a display appeared saying it couldn't be removed. It may have
been because I had clicked on it and opened it and perhaps part of it
remained open when I exited it. Therefore, it may have appeared to be
still in use.

Again, thanks.
