IE7 is promoted as allowing for more screen viewing area.  Simply HOGWASH...
It's the opposite.  You are stuck with 3 or four rows; two that are fixed
and you can't do anything to resize, ie., the NEEEEVER ENDING address bar
and the new bar which I found no use for.

I am happily back to IE6 with just two rows where I can put everything I
need.

Hear, hear Microsoft!!!!!!!
It is  very annoying and unless there is a fix, and quickly, my IE6 is
coming back too.

I agree... I miss being able to REALLY customize my toolbars.

Me too. The two lined command bar covers too much of the top of the screen.
The top half is totally worthless. One line would easily suffice.
Also, the favorites covers 1/3 of the screen. Can't I permanently "pin" my
favorites?
One thing I like about IE7 is I now have a drop down menu, which I didn't
have with my IE5 or 6 (whatever it was).

The Favorites Center can be pinned and resized.  It's the green arrow
button at top, on the right.  That pins it.  After it's pinned you can
resize however you like.
