Unless I'm mistaken, from IE7 Beta 2 Preview to IE7 Final, there has
been a change to the way the browser opens after using the "Open these
[tabs] the next time I use Internet Explorer" option on shut-down.
With IE7 Final:
- On browser shut-down, choose "Open these tabs next time I use
Internet Explorer".
- When IE7 is restarted, the previously-opened tabs are restored.
- The Home Page(s) are *also* restored.
My memory might be faulty but I seem to recall the Beta Previews
bypassed the opening of the Home Page(s) if it was re-opening tabs from
a previous session. Having the Home Page(s) open alongside the restored
tabs as it does in IE7 Final is annoying - especially when a page (or
pages, depending on the # of Home Pages set) is among the tabs that are
being restored - as they are now unnecessarily duplicated!
Sure, I could manually close any tabs that happen to be my Home Pages
before exiting, but that's slow and cumbersome. In my opinion, it
should be:
- a) 'empty' session, open on Home Page(s); OR
- b) 'restored' session, open as it was when you left off.
Am I correct that the behaviour changed from Preview to Final? If so,
was it intentional?
And does anyone else agree the method as it stands is a poor
implementation?

I agree. It's also annoying that there doesn't seem to be a way to make
the setting sticky... "do not show me again" deselects "open these next
time".
Cheers.
