Out of the blue, I try to go to a page and it just sits there for ages, sometimes as long as 30 seconds. This seems to have happened right around the time I downloaded all the patches from windowsupdate.

I've cleared my cache and run spybot, but it hasn't helped.

Mozilla firebird seems to work ok.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I take that back. I go to tracert.org and get really bad results even in firebird.

What next? Talk to my ISP?

Hey Paul I was experiencing the same problems.  When I opened Task Manager I
noticed the IE was taking up all of the resources (98-100%) and at times I
could not even close it unless I cancelled the task.  I have subsequently
moved to Netscape and no problems whatsoever.

I sent other postings on this and haven't received any responses on trying
to resolve the problem with IE.  Have you had any luck ?

Paul

My problems started after installing the latest IE6 update!
Any way to get rid of this?
