to turn this off. Any help would be appreciated.

Isn't that the "Start navigation" sound (from Control Panel, Sounds
and devices, Sounds) that controll the sound when a new page opens?

Thank you very much.

The default setting must have been changed after a software install. I set
it back and all is well. No more "booop"!!

I don't have a box to check (or uncheck) for a new page opening....but I do
get the "boop". What am I missing?
