When I go to my.yahoo.com on my home pc, using IE 6.0, the page opens up,
but then I get a dialog box saying "Internet Explorer cannot open the
Internet site http://my.yahoo.com/.  Operation aborted."  This just started
happening today.  Every other website seems to work fine.  my.yahoo.com
works fine on my laptop.  Can somebody help me?

Thanks,
Ken

Copy the following    C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS  and past into run
or an IE address window.  Open with Notepad.  Check to see if the address
you can't get to is listed.  If it is please respond here and I will tell
you how the remedy the situation.

Here is some additional reading on HOSTS files:

The HOSTS file has only 127.0.0.1 in it, not my.yahoo.com.  It actually gets
to the website and display it, but after I hit OK to the error dialog, it
changes to the "website not found" display.
