We use a proxy server at work, Bluecoat, not a MSFT product. IE 6.x
with all Service packs will not take our exceptions. I put in an
entire ip range, or specific domain name, nothing. IE is ignoring my
exceptions. I want it not to proxy anyting on 10.10.0.0/16. I have
10.10.*.* in the rule, also want it to not proxy domain microsoft.com.
So have I have a *.microsoft.com.
All my Exceptions are seperated by a ; (semi-colon).
Can someone point me to a tech note or something that outlines how or
IF IE 6.0 processes proxy Exceptions?
Thanks

You'll need both microsoft.com and *.microsoft.com in the list.
I'm afraid I don't know how to do your 10.10.*.* requirement I've never
needed to do that kind of thing.
Semicolon separating item is correct.

thanks for the link. But I don't need to double enter microsoft.com and
*.microsoft.com.
----
To bypass servers, enter a wildcard at the beginning of an Internet
address, IP address, or domain name with a common ending. For example,
use *.example.com to bypass any entries ending in .example.com (such as
some.example.com and www.example.com).

I have read the link info and I have my exceptions put in exactly as
the Resource Kit docs state. Arghhhh!
