Hi,

For the last year and a half I was able to open unlimited browser pages.
Now whenever I try to open a new page it "loses" (opens) in the same page.

I have XP Pro.  Have all updates. I've tried to check the list of all of my
internet options to see if I made any changes in error.

Please tell me what I'm missing.

Thanks,

Leslie

Not sure if thus helps, but have to tried...

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts".
I think the default is ticked, but try unticking it!

Also, ensure that your IE icon is a link to "C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\iexplore.exe" not a link to a website/webpage, as this would
produce the same results.

Let us know the results.

PS If you right click a link on a site and select [Open in New window]
does a second window open?

I have exactly the same problem. If ,for example, you are looking at a
page that shows sports results live and just want to keep it open and
go back to it every 5 minutes and then try to open another "copy" of
IE6 to look at ,say,Google there is a quick screen flicker and then it
just goes back to the one explorer page currently open.In this case
the sports page. Altering the shortcuts setting in advanced options
has had no effect on this for me.

Using XP Pro/Norton 2006/Zone Alarm Free

Other than getting Firefox any solutions?
Thanks Dave
