Wife's XP Professional(SP2) Internet Explorer has stopped working.   When
attempting to execute, the
hourglass appears for maybe2-4 seconds and then disappears---that is all.
System has latest patches, and
no new software/patches were installed that correspond to the time it
stopped working.  If there are some
error messages being produced in a log somewhere I do not see them--don't
see anything in the events
logs.

Full Virus scan shows nothing, Adware and Spyware cleaners have been run and
still nothing.

If you connect to the same desktop as a "different" user, Internet Explorer
runs fine, so I assume she got
into something "nasty" that messed up her profile.  Cleaned out cookies and
temporary internet folders with
no success.

Anybody have ideas how to debug this?

I know you have run anti spyware but it depends on what the problem is, as
to which one will fix it!!

Try deleting the files in
