Hi all,
Every once in a while I get an annoying webpage open when I open Internet
Explorer 6. I don't think it is a popup
The page is called Adultfinder or something similar.

I have Spyware, Nortons Firewall, Windows (XP Pro SP2) Firewall, Popup
Blocker all invoked
to increase internet security.

I have deleted all cookies, all Temporary Internet files, all favourites,
allhistory etc, but the page still appears.

Can anybody offer a suggestion please.

Answers to this group please.

Thanks
Greg

I had the same problem. Turns out it was caused by a website I had on my
desktop to download free music.  I had Norton but still had my homepage
re-routed to some useless one.  So after I deleted the music download
website (BearShare) completely from my system and updated my anti virus etc
it was ok.  I heard that free music download sites often cause this, but
when you pay for it, it's not a problem but I'm haven't bothered to find out
for myself.

sounds like you have spyware!!! I recommend you to get mcafee anti virus
and personal firewall.
If you don't want to buy, you can use the trial version to remove any
spyware or adware and then
uninstall it later.
