I am running Windows XP. They say XP and Internet Explorer are inseparable,
but I download ie6setup, and when I try to run it, it says I have a newer
version of Internet Explorer installed, so it can't go ahead. Whenever I try
to run Internet Explorer, it abend on me? What can I do?

I tried all the steps for re-installing IE 6 but still got the message
that I had a newer version already installed.  I finally gave up and did a
restore.  Now IE works and I have all my 266 adware threats back    :(
