Cannot view some web pages

I am using IE6 & Windows XP Professional 5.1 SP2. IE will open some web
pages but not others.

For example it will open Barclays Bank but not Lloyds Bank or Nat West Bank.
It will open www.bbc.co.uk but not www.bbc.co.uk/news

I have checked with Norton antivirus and Adaware and have checked with the
ISP BT Internet.com but all to no avail can anyone please help.

Sorry I should add that the above applys to all five computers on a local
network using a vigor 2600 router
