When using IE, you're given the option of saving user logins, passwords
(password caching), and sometimes information that is used to complete
various forms (like email addresses, names, addresses and phone numbers). I
need to purge my system and restart from scratch due to a virus. I want to
save this cached information (along with Favorites, My Documents, my email
PST file, cookies,...) to have things change as little as possible.
Unfortunately, I can't figure out where that type of information is normally
saved in order to add it to my backup tape. Does anyone know the file where
this data is stored (name and location)?
Thanks in advance for your help.

This information is stored in the registry - not a file. I don't remember
the exact location but, I think the info itself is either encrypted or
stored as HEX values. The only utility that I know which lets you read and
mange this info is from PCMag. The program is called AutoWhat 2
http://www.pcmag.com/utilities/ but, it is not a freebie. If you check this
out, perhaps you could search for other similar apps on Google.
