Hi, I'm hoping someone might know how to turn off the pop up blocker in IE6,
I do go to the Tools option and turn it off from there but it still stops
pop ups from appearing, so has anyone any ideas why this is happening and
how I can turn it off or get rif of it altogether.

Are you talking about the pop up blocker in XP SP2?

Hi Travis,

Yes I'm talking about the popup blocker that comes with  XP SP2, none of the
earlier versions of XP IE came with a popup blocker that I'm aware of. That
link you added is how to turn on the pop up blocker etc, i want to get rid
of it or have it work.

Do you still get the Info Bar telling you it blocked a popup?
If not, it is probably something else like the Google toolbar.

Hi Frank,
I do get the beep that lets you know a pop up has been blocked and I don't
get the yellow info bar all the time, unless I'm quick enough to click on
the title bar of the pop up window and hold the mouse L button which
sometimes holds it but with no success in keeping the window open. I don't
use the google toolbar!

Cheerio, Pete

Hi Torin,
I wish it was "too easy" as you say, (read my original post)
