I'm using WinXP Pro on a laptop.  Each time I go to my  bank's internet
banking website, the IE6 browser crashes.  I thought I might be able to fix
this issue by performing the upgrade to XP from SP1 to SP2.  The browser
still crashes.  Is there a way to selectively diagnose and fix the problem I
seem to be having?

Another side effect of installing SP2 is that webpages load a bit slower.  I
guess this is due to the enhanced security features in SP2.  Anyone with any
insight into this also?

Thanks.

check the event viewer to  check for error messages make sure you have all
the patches for IE  Check for Spyware check for virus.

One of these will fix problem if not reinstall IE

if you are not sure what I am talking about do a search for each of the
words on the internet.  Learning how to use the internet to solve problems
is very useful

I've already run the gamut running Spybot, Ad-aware and Adware Away to no
avail.  I've even tried some registry cleaners.  I've used the Internet to
research the issue and came up blank so I tried posting here.  I understand
if you have to re-load IE you have to reload all the updates, etc. so I'm
hoping I can avoid that.   It ultimately may be what I have to do but I'm a
firm believer (so far) that what's broken can be fixed rather than replaced.
