Spyware in IE6.0

I am using the latest updated version of IE6.0 and Internet Cleanup
4.0.  When I adjust my toolbar I get a message that I have TinyBar
spyware in my system.   If I remove the TinyBar spyware, the next time
I start my browser, the toolbar has reverted to its default setting.

Microsoft claims to be interested in our personal security, so why is
it putting spyware in its' programs?  More importantly, how do I get
rid of TinyBar without having the browser toolbar reverting to its
default setting?

I have tried removing the line that triggers it from my registry.  The
IE6.0 software just puts it back in the registry when I start my
browser again.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.

you are mistaken YOU installed the software and now you need to remove it.
download Ad-Aware from this site and run it

I don't know if it was the same spyware (I didn't look to close, just
deleted it) but after I installed IE6sp1 & ran Adaware, it found
tracking software & explained that it was installed with & was part of
IE6 !!!!

My question is, why is Microsoft installing tracking software?

Good question!  I guess Bill Gates wants to know more about us.  So
much for Microsoft and its supposed interest in personal privacy.

Thanks for the AdAware suggestion.  I tried it.  It does not find
TinyBar at all,  as Internet Cleanup 4.0 does, so if I want to keep
the IE toolbar as I want rather than the IE default, I need to leave
the TinyBar on my hard drive.
