I tried the web to could not find the solution. (I tried words like "print
webpage, margin, problem, internet explorer".) When printing a webpage in
IE, I found that frequently part of the right side was "printed" beyond the
margin, i.e., not printed. I tried to resize the window but nothing
changed. It seems that the printout is independent of the window size. This
is very annoying, and sometime I have to copy the content to word for
printing. Sometime I can also print in landscape, but the layout will be
very odd.

Is there any reliable way to print a webpage with all content fitted to the
page size? I understand that this does not happen all the times, and some
webpages do not have this problem. However, this problem occur to me for
many webpages from different websites that I visited.

Thanks a lot.

In IE, click file and then print setup. Adjust your margins there.

Thanks a lot.

However, it can't solve the problem. I found that many webpages have
their layout fixed and would not change with window size. They look OK
when viewed in 1024x768. However, when I print them, around one-thrid of
the right cannot be printed, even if I set all margins to small values or
even to zero's. Perhaps many webpage designer sacrifice "print-friendly"
for "screen-friendly".

Is there any program that can "shrink" a webpage before printing it? It
would be great if it is an IE plug-in. I think printer drivers will not
solve the problem, because IE may chop the page before sending it to the
printer drivers.

Some sites are nice enough to provide links to "printer friendly" pages. I
don't think that the percentage is very high, however. I have found the
easiest way to copy a page into Word is:
* have a blank Word Doc open.
* highlight the Webpage (or part of it)
* drag the highlighted text to the Word button on the taskbar
* just hold it there for a second - Word will open and you can drop it into
the window.

When the pages are that wide switch to landscape mode from portrait and it
will fit on the page.
