I have Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 and would like instructions on how one
saves mail and all newsgroups in the event my computer crashes and I have to
reinstall?

What do you mean by newsgroups? Their name?  Content?

In Windows Explorer go to Documents and Settings, user name, local settings,
application data, identities, {hex address}, Microsoft, Outlook Express-here
is where all of your OE user files are located.  Just copy the whole folder
'Outlook Express' to the backup medium of your choice and do it on a
daily/weekly/monthly schedule of your choosing.  You will see familiar file
names in these dbx files.
