Why do I get the following error messages:
1.     I uninstalled Internet Explorer via Control Panel/Uninstall Pgms
2.     When I try to execute Internet Explorer - 'Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and need to close.'
3.     When I try to install IE - 'Setup has detected a newer version of
Internet Explorer already installed on this system.  Setup cannot
continue.'?  I'm running Windows XP.
Another person said IE is a part of XP, and can't be uninstalled.  What can
I do?

All you did in Control Panel is uninstall the icon from the desktop.  If you
would have looked at the description when you highlighted that choice you
would have seen this..  You have to change a registry key then try to
install IE6.  This should help you:
