I am running Internet Explorer 6 with Windows 2000 professional.
Internet Explorer has stopped working.  When I try and connect I get "The
page cannot be displayed" message.
Liveupdate has also stopped working.
Everything else I have still works OK.  I can still download my emails
through Outlook Express, Kazaa is fine including web browsing, Windows
Explorer can still access the web and I use a web based customer contact
database which is OK.
I have totally removed IE and re-installed without success.
I can't work it out.
Anyone got any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

I would look at the proxy settings. It's probably not the cause since
Windows Explorer works but it's worth looking at. What is Liveupdate?
