Hi guys. I made a video in the standard widescreen dimensions. I then imported
the video into flashand reduced the size to 75%. The new dimensions are now set
to 540 x 432. Now this should be still a nice widescreen shape but it looks
like 4x3 dimensions. It has lost all the look of widescreen. I just can't
understand it. Can anyone help?

Take a look at the encoder tabs.  You can crop it to the right shape.
Also look at your settings for the FLVPlayback. you may have it set to
make the movie fit the player, rather than the player changing size to
fit the movie.
