I'm working on a new project for a client and want to create something like
what I saw on the page for photoshop:
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/family/?promoid=BPDEK

I assume something like this is horrifically complicated, but maybe you all
here can shed some light on the situation for me.  Any help in how to do this
would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Naaa, this stuff is relatively easy. you will have to google to get
some exact code.  But basically you ahve a series of videos that have
the alpha channel added.  The characters were all green screened and
the background removed.

Now using some fancy math, you basically rotate these around an
imaginary circle.  If the clip is not the "main one" then it rotates
to the left or the right until it is.

Google will probably help you.  And there have been several different
examples.

Hello,

Take a look and watch this tutorial video series.

http://www.gotoandlearn.com/player.php?id=32

The series comes in three parts and in it the author Lee Brimelow shows you
how to create a 3D carousel menu.  In the second and third videos he shows you
how to import images via an XML file and create a menu system that's almost
similar to the example you like.

Instead of images you can change it to import SWF files that will contain the
keyed video movies you want.

Although a great deal of the carousel is in Actionscript, you don't have to
worry because Lee explains everything really well.

I suggest you download the video and source files and watch them on your
computer rather then online.

Hope that helps.
