I built this site last year with a flash detection script to either display the
flash content (Prefered) or an alternate html page. Search engine ranking is
really important for us so I chose this method. Now as of 2 weeks ago, No
browsers display the flash content where it worked perfectly before.

you need to update to swfobject 2. swfobject 1 does not work with the most
current flashplayer versions. I know that you are checking for 8, but the
error is in the detection recognizing the more current version.
