If you're talking about Flash CS4 then Adobe haven't finished creating it yet.
There is a way to play with some of the new features in Flash Player 10 but it
requires downloading the latest version of the Flex SDK and working with
Actionscript files.

no i mean the trial version of flash so i can try it out with web banners etc. the spec on here says you need OSX 10.4.0 minimum so it wont work on my 10.3.9?

You in no luck. Adobe do not provide older version of their products.
You can only download the latest and because they have all kind of new features,
specific specs are required.
Your only choice will be to allocate older flash, 8 or MX 2004, from some other source.
Try books. Old Flash 8 or MX 2004 books. They will be on sale now, considering they are
getting out of date. Most of them comes with CD and flash app installation on it.
