Hi all,
I want to put together an online video documenting conference events. The
video would for the most part contain static jpeg slides from presentations
running alongside the recorded audio - slides changing as they did in the live
show when controlled by the speaker, in line with the audio recording.
Occasionally there is video and other audio files to insert instead of the
jpeg. Soundslides seems an ideal flash app, but it does not handle video.
I'm new to Flash CS3 and thought surely this must be the app to do it. My
problem though is previewing the audio so I can identify when to transition to
a new slide or video. There just doesn't seem to be an option to do that.
Once the audio starts in after Playing its keyframe, there's no stopping it.
Does anyone know how to do this or if I could perhaps add markers in
Soundtrack Pro and export to Adobe Flash (long shot I know!)
Thanks in advance.

one way that I have handled adding cuepoints to audio files has been converting
the audio file (preferably .wav) to flv files. You can then add cuepoints the
the new audio flv just like you would for a normal video flv. You can then add
actions to happen when the cuepoints are reached.

Thanks a lot for the quick and useful tip. I wonder would you mind expanding a
little. Can you do the conversion and add cuepoints in Flash itself or another
app? Can you preview the audio in Flash so you can judge where to add the cue
points?
I'm clearly a noob so appreciate your help here!
