i've just finished (more or less) a photography web site that when published
loads too slowly. so, i've gone back and decreased the size of all images on
the site by about half. now when i publish the site, it doesn't seem to have
changed the byte size of the swf file. is there something i'm missing?
i changed all images using edit mode (launching PS CS3) within each movie clip.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Well, how about supplying a link to the website? I don't understand how so many people can ask for help and give nothing to go on.

Hey!
What most websites do is load the pictures into the site as they are needed.
This way, the site loads very quickly and the user only has to wait for the
photos that they want to see. That said, you're probably still going to have to
reduce your photos as much as possible. That's true of everything you put on
the internet, though.

I've attached a script that you can use to load images in AS3.

If you knew all this, i apologize.

Thanks,
John
