Hi,
I know very little about flash. I have had CS3 installed for a while however
I have found that my ability to create anything decent is very limited by the
lack of knowledge I have.
I use Adobe Captivate a lot and am looking at making flash content to improve
the design and functionality of the elearning modules I create.
Short basic animation sequences, transational sequences, interactive content
etc.
Any ideas on the best learning resources for this sort of thing? There is so
much available that I am not sure where to start!
Thanks in advance.
Matt.

You can learn quite a bit from the introductory tutorials at lynda. com. Or get
the Adobe Classroom In A Book for Flash CS3. Or, if you feel comfortable with
basic graphic and web design software, try a book such as Friends of ED's Flash
CS3 for Designers. All of these will give you both lots of exercises and
well-structured tutorials.
It's a little more daunting to learn Flash CS3 than the older versions because
it is so much more programming-oriented now. But the basics remain the same.
Learn the tools on the toolbar and how to use the timeline. Learn how to
animate on the timeline, then learn the basic ActionScript commands.

Thankyou for your response margotdarby - lynda.com is an amazing resource! I
havent yet checked out the book, why read when you can watch :)
I am a bit daunted by the programming side of things but I recognize that I
need to get my head around it to continue my skill development, so here goes .

Thanks again :)
