I'm trying to make a video with flash, and in this video I at one point want to
start with a small photo and zoom in(the photo is 4400xSomething in .jpg
format). I thought this would be a simple, Keyframe, 50frames forward New
Keyframe same object transformed to a different size and then making that into
a shape tween... but Flash will not let me make a shape tween (It will let me
make a motion tween but that does not have the desired effect.)

Can anyone help?
(i know this seems like a very unefficient thing to save as a .swf , and that
is why I will be making it into a .avi for use as other medias.)

Convert your image into a Movieclip or Graphic symbol and use a Motion tween
instead.

1) Drag your image on to the stage.  Hit F8 to open the Convert to Symbol
dialog box.  Give your image a Name and choose Movieclip for the Type.

2) In the timeline, go ahead to about the 50th frame and click on it.  Hit F6
to create a keyframe.  Modify your movieclip's width and height by using the
Properties panel at the bottom or using the Free Transform tool.

3) Now right-click anywhere between your 2 keyframes and chooses Motion Tween.

4) Scrub the timeline or Test Movie (Ctrl+Enter) to see your animation.
