I'm new to Flash so perhaps someone can help me.  I'm interested in making a
similar flash effect as the one on this page
http://www.firstorlando.com/Home/Tabid/52.aspx  It's a scrolling set of
announcements but also allow you to click on an announcement to get more
information.  Is there a name for this effect and does anyone have some insight
as to how to duplicate it?  Thanks.

I'm still at a loss here.  Any thoughts?

Come on, people.  A little help please.

I don't see any scrolling. I see a very simple fade transition slide show. Make
each photo into a movie clip, apply a getURL link to each one, and then do a
timeline-based fade transition between them. Real easy to do.

I don't know which version of Flash or ActionScript you're using, so it would
be a waste of time to write a detailed tutorial here. But if you enter "flash
fade transition" into a Google search, you'll find various and sundry tutorials.

I'm using Flash CS3.

Thanks for the reply.
