I am using Flash MX Professional 2004. I have made a flash where an image moves
across the screen by using the timeline. When I us the Control menu to "play"
it looks fine. When I test the movie, the main image appear just as a blur and
then.. at the end, it shows the beginning of the image. Can anyone tell me
what I am doing wrong? I was able to make this work once, but even then I was
not sure HOW I did it.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated:confused;

it sounds as though you have a high frame rate and a short frame span on the
timeline. what is your frame rate? and how many frames are you using for this
tween? (when you 'play' the timeline it usually is not run at the frame rate of
the published version)
if it's showing at the beginning once it's done - you must have a stop() on
the first frame perhaps - you may want to insert a keyframe on the last frame
in the actions layer and use a stop there.

Thank you clbeech
I don't think it is the frame rate because an earlier version that does
publish properly has the same rate (24 fps) as the one that does not. Also,
other layers are not blurring just this one. It is as if the first part of the
movie has been put through a photoshop motion blur filter: blurred and
unchanging until the end when the motion starts.
So the stop may be the issue. I inserted a "stop video" behavior in the last
frame of the time line layer that has the offending image with no change.
Looking at the first frame, I do not see that I have any behavior except the
tween there.
I confess I rely on intuitive use of the tool rather than an understanding of
the concepts behind it. What is confounding is that I have a version that
works but cannot seem to alter it without creating this problem. I cannot seem
to see what is different.
Again, any assistance would be helpful.

Thank you.
The file that works is:

or: http://www.iconoclastic.net/junk/inflight402.swf
The revised file that does not publish properly is
